Popsicle-licious!

Last week one night before bath time the boys were playing outside. They were already dirty so I let them have their first Popsicle. Oh man did they love them! I mean seriously - who wouldn't?

Funny story, just now I heard screaming from their room. They are laying down for their naps and Blake was stuck with his shirt half way off. They are wearing long sleeves today since it's 68 degrees! He hates them! He keeps taking off his shirt and getting stuck. Owen just licks his sleeves. Probably trying to eat them...he thinks he can eat everything.

The other half

The second day we spent having lunch with Grammy and Papa Ric and then back over to Pops and Nini's for a fish fry.
Here are some pictures:

A good depiction of us trying to wrangle the boys all weekend.
All of the Stroh men

You know your Pops is cool when he has a cotton candy machine
And for kicks and giggles a few of the meltdowns caught on camera :)

Baby Taylor and God's Country

We got to sneak away last weekend to go to Mississippi to go see our brand new nephew - Justin "Taylor" Stroh, Jr.

It was so fun to go back since we haven't been there since Christmas. It was a fast trip that was spent with just family. We had a great time and that baby is SO precious.

The boys were, shall we say, interesting this trip. We drove late Thursday night so they started off Friday a little tired and cranky :). We had a few melt downs and a few tantrums, but for the most part they did great.

Here are some pictures from day 1!

Uncle Boot and Blake

I don't know how well you can tell, but Owen really loved being on that 4 wheeler!
I don't mean for Blake to get more photos this go around...but here he is with Baby Taylor. He really liked him.
And with Grammy.

Owen, you will get more next post!

Sickness

Last week my Blakers was so sick. He ended up with a viral infection that started off with a bad cold - including fever, extreme fatigue, panting-like breathing, and a runny nose. It all seemed to go away but was then followed by a rash all over his body. It was a trying few days...but he seemed to be better by last Thursday.
Here he is looking so sad after a nap where his fever broke - see the wet curls?:

While he was feeling cruddy...Owen was about the sweetest kid on the planet. He was very content to play alone and let me cuddle with Blake. He was happy and easy going. I was so greatful for him!
Here he is in all of his sweetness:

And I finally caught him walking! Doesn't he look like a T-Rex?

Yeah for friends!

Again...I am so late posting this.

A few weeks ago we had the best treat - Abbey and Allen came to visit! Abbey is one of my dearest friends in the world. She and I met while serving at Forest Hill Church together 5 1/2 years ago. However, it feels way longer than that. One of the best things about Abbey and my friendship is that we have gotten to walk so many roads together. When we first met we had both just graduated college and we were adjusting to life as adults. We then both met our sweeties, began dating them within a few weeks of each other, got engaged within a few weeks of each other, lived together while planning weddings and got married two weeks a part. We both then moved (her to their first home in Charlotte, and Nate and me to TX), were pregnant at the same time, both on long stints of bed rest and now we have very busy boys that are 6 weeks a part. Not to mention she married one of my favorite people, Todd.

As you can see...she is a very special friend and a very wonderful friend for flying to Texas so I could meet Allen and she could meet Blake and Owen. We had so much fun.

Here are some picture highlights:

My favorite picture - they were giving hugs!

Really behind

I am really bhind in showing this...but Blakey Beans is walking! He took is first steps on August 9th and can now for the most part make it across the living room. He still prefers crawling if he is determined to get somewhere. But he can walk really far if you hold his hand.

Here are some actions shots from a few weeks ago:

Owen has also taken his first steps. I believe it was on August 19th. He really would LOVE to run all over the house, but can only take a few steps before tumbling down! He is so determined. He too can walk really well if being held by his hand. I don't have his pictures because he won't walk for the camera. Sorry! Love you Owen!
Also, while I am thinking of it...any one have a cute idea for Halloween?
